GTS provided traffic engineering design services for signal upgrades at 40 of the City’s 224 signalized intersections as part of a Highway Safety Improvement Program (HSIP)–funded project. The effort focused on improving safety, operations, and accessibility at key locations throughout the City.
GTS prepared plans, specifications, and estimates (PS&E) for upgrades to existing traffic signal systems, including new or replacement traffic signal heads, pedestrian signal heads, and accessible pedestrian pushbuttons. The project supports improved pedestrian safety, enhanced signal visibility, and compliance with current accessibility and traffic control standards.
The resulting designs enhanced signal visibility, improved pedestrian accessibility, and supported safer, more reliable intersection operations across the City’s signal network.
