Position: Senior Project Engineer (Practice Builder)
Work from home but must be based in the greater Southern California area.
We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Engineer (Practice Builder) with a passion for Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and proven expertise in business development and project delivery. This role is perfect for experienced professionals who thrive on building client relationships, mentoring teams, and driving the success of transformative ITS projects. Join us to expand our ITS practice and lead impactful initiatives across Southern California, including Los Angeles, Orange County, Inland Empire, and San Diego.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead business development efforts in the ITS industry, cultivating relationships with clients and partners.

Apply technical expertise to deliver high-quality ITS and transportation projects.

Manage the design and delivery of projects, ensuring profitability and client satisfaction.

Mentor and manage staff in a positive and collaborative environment.

Partner with fellow Practice Builders to drive the growth and success of the ITS practice.

Actively engage in client outreach, marketing, and project oversight to enhance market presence.
What We’re Looking For:

Experience: At least 10+ years of success in the ITS consulting services industry, including client engagement, project management, and business development in the Southern California market.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Transportation Engineering.

Licensing: California Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred but not required.

Skills: Strong client relationships, technical expertise, and a proven ability to deliver projects profitably.

Passion: Commitment to mentoring staff, fostering collaboration, and contributing to business success.
